Balinese Ceremonies

Realisation Ceremony

This traditional ceremony, called Melukat-Mebayuh in Balinese, amounts to a powerful purification and complete resetting of your energies. The intention is to clean (Melukat) and go back to, reconnect (Mebayuh) with your birth energies, the basic energy you were born with. All accumulated experiences and negative/confusing energies are erased, so that after the ritual you can experience who you really are in a more clear and pure way. The lessons you have learned through your life experiences remain, and are further integrated. People who have experienced this ceremony report that it works in a very deep, complete yet subtle way, and the effects continue to be felt for a long time after.

The Melukat-Mebayuh ceremony is (and can only be) performed by a pedande, a Balinese high priest. The ceremony takes several days in preparation and takes the largest part of a day in the active experiencing.

Preparations for the Realisation Ceremony include collecting and making a compilation of offerings. This all depends on the person undergoing the ceremony and is different for each individual.

It is essential for this ceremony that it is done on the right day and at the right hour, at a time when the birth energy of that person is present. The birth energy has to be calculated according to the Balinese calendar from the sacral Lontars. Therefore a date of birth needs to be known well in advance. To be able to perform the ritual, the energy of the day of birth (not the same as the date of birth) needs to fall within the period of staying in Bali.

(Mebayuh is always done in combination with Melukat, it can not be done seperately).

Purification Ceremony

It is also possible to experience the Melukat ceremony on its own. This traditional Balinese ritual is a powerful purification ritual. It cleans your energies thoroughly. Because the ceremony is done exactly according to the ancient ways of the Balinese tradition, the effect is strong and deep. Afterwards you may feel cleaner, lighter in your whole being, with more room for your natural joy, beauty and love to flow.

The Melukat ceremony is (and can only be) performed by a pedande, a Balinese high priest. The ceremony takes some days in preparation and takes several hours in the active experiencing.

Preparations for the Purification Ceremony include making the traditional offerings. When going to the priest you will wear traditional Balinese clothes, these will also need to be prepared.

This ceremony can be done on any day that is suitable for such a ceremony, it doesn't have to be on a specific day for the person (like the Melukat-Mebayuh), so no date of birth needs to be known. Once the Melukat ceremony has been done, the Mebayuh ceremony can, if so desired, be done seperately at a later time, even in another year.
